Thank you for your interest in the Roland-Story Preschool program! We hope the following will answer any questions you may have.
What is the procedure to sign up?
You will need to enter your child in the preschool lottery system.
Who may sign up for the lottery?
Any child who turns 4 before September 15th of the school year you are requesting.
How can I sign my child up for the preschool lottery? This paper work needed to be filled out by March 1. You can do this by coming into the office and filling out the necessary papers or by clicking here and filling it out electronically.
When does the lottery start?
You may start signing up after winter break.
When does the lottery close?
You need to be signed up by March 1st at 4:00 p.m.
How will I know if my child is in the preschool program?
We will let you know by mail if your child is in preschool or if your child's name has been placed on a waiting list. You will be notified one way or the other. If a spot becomes open, you will receive a phone call.
When does preschool start?
Preschool begins the day after Labor Day
How many sections are there?
There are 4 sections.
What time does preschool start/end? What days is it held?
Preschool runs Monday-Thursday. There is no preschool on Friday. A.M. section runs from 8:20-11:05. P.M. section runs from 12:30-3:15.
Can I request a section?
Is busing available?
Busing is on a year to year basis. More information will be given once lottery is completed. In the past, busing has been available.
