Harrison Barnes Summer 2020 VIRTUAL Reading Academy

My name is Kate Ringstad and I am one of the Family Literacy Coordinator/Educators for the Harrison Barnes Reading Academy with Raising Readers in Story County! I am excited to announce that we are able to continue to deliver our summer programming in an alternative format! We will be utilizing Zoom conferencing and would love to have you involved! More information is provided below! Please forward to parents and families who may be interested in participating! Thank you for all that you do!  Harrison Barnes Summer 2020 VIRTUAL Reading Academy Details:  Raising Readers in Story County is coordinating a FREE summer tutoring program to promote literacy skills and prevent the "summer slide". Students must have completed kindergarten through 3rd grade. Each child will be paired virtually with a trained volunteer tutor. All tutors will undergo a background check.  Students will meet for personalized reading sessions through Zoom video conferencing with a volunteer tutor to help maintain summer literacy skills. These 45-minute sessions will be hosted and supervised virtually by RRSC site supervisors.  We will offer two 4-week sessions: June 8th- July 2nd and July 6th - July 30th. Register for a convenient time on Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs. If you are interested in having your child participate in this program, please fill out the application on our website.

The Harrison and Brittany Barnes Foundation is a proud sponsor of this program.
