Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment

ISASP

The Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP) are assessments developed by Iowa Testing Programs at the University of Iowa for the state of Iowa. All 3rd-11th grade students will take this assessment. The assessments are aligned with the Iowa Core standards and provide a clear and accurate assessment of student learning outcomes. Roland-Story Elementary and High School will take these assessments during the week of April 7. Roland-Story Middle School will take the assessments during the week of April 14. More information will come out as we get closer to those dates.

2023-2024 Results have been posted on your child's jmc family page. Here you will find directions on how to obtain these scores. A more detailed individual report can be found following these steps.

Our Mission

“Building a foundation of lifetime learning for our students, families, and communities.”

Four student-centered questions guide our curriculum, assessment, instruction, and professional development to create systematic support to promote and develop each student’s success:

  1. What do we expect all students to learn?

  2. How will we know our students have learned it?

  3. How will we respond if they do not learn it?

How will we respond if they already know it?
