Weather forecasts for the upcoming week indicate exceptionally cold temperatures. We know that students sometimes underestimate the weather conditions. Please make sure students are dressed appropriately for this situation.
In the event of extremely cold weather, our decision-making process for delays and cancellations will be guided by the National Weather Service Wind Chill Chart. We will use a frostbite exposure time of approximately 10-15 minutes as a guide for making schedule adjustments.
If parents have concerns about the weather conditions while school is in session, they have the option to keep their child(ren) at home. To ensure proper documentation, we ask that parents notify the school, and the principal will record the absence as excused. Your cooperation in keeping our students safe and prepared is greatly appreciated.
