We are pleased to announce that Leo Gessner has been approved as the district's next Facilities Director and will begin his role on Monday, February 17. Leo will spend a majority of his time as the daytime custodian at the high school, but he will also assist in coordinating and overseeing projects throughout the district.
Leo brings a wealth of experience from his long tenure at Danfoss Power Solutions, where he has worked since 1996 in a variety of roles, including Material Handler, Marketing Services Coordinator, and, most recently, Team Coordinator. His expertise includes technical analysis, problem-solving, and operational support—skills that will serve him well in this new role.
Leo is actively involved in the community. He has been a dedicated volleyball coach for Story City Parks and Recreation and Roland-Story Middle School since 2014.
We are excited to welcome Leo to the district and look forward to his positive impact!
